IR switch

Infrared remote controlled devices has been a common solution for decades. Almost all electric appliances have a remote control and it is often difficult to find the right remote control, for example to turn on a TV or a DVD player. However, it is possible to purchase a universal remote control in order to be able to control many devices of different manufacturers from one transmitter. I decided to enrich the list with a new solution that can be used to control lighting.

The "oscilloscope", which I made and programmed myself on Atmega8A, recorded the state of the output of the infrared receiver every 50us. After analyzing the data using a PHP script, I got the following results:

Additionally, I decided to enrich my solution with a light intensity sensor to be able to have the lighting switched on automatically in the evening.
